I'm under 18, and need housing ASAP.

To find housing resources tonight, check out the Youth Services Network.

If you need a place to stay tonight, the quickest thing to do is check out the Youth Services Network at www.ysnmn.org. This resource lists all the places with shelter beds available in the metro and gives you their contact info. You can also see what outreach workers are working at any given time and connect with them.

The ADYC Emergency Shelter has a limited number of beds available at any given time. If you want more information, you can reach out to the Shelter Manager at josh.tarte@adycenter.org or call our main office at 651.227.4184.

I'm over 18, and I'm looking for safe, supportive permanent housing.

Look for Housing Options through Your County's Coordinated Entry System

The reality is there are many young people and families in need of housing, and not enough affordable options to meet the need. Each county has its own system to help match you with the best housing option for your situation. This system is called Coordinated Entry. If you need housing, there are specific steps you need to follow to get into supportive units. You can find the steps on this website:

Select the county that you live in, find a housing assessor, and find out your eligibility. If you are under 24, you can also reach out to ADYC's Youth Lodge and Street Outreach Program Manager at celina.jubera@adycenter.org or call 615.632.8923.

Enroll in the Ninijanisag Program

ADYC's Ninijanisag program centers Indigenous culture and traditions as a way to prevent chemical dependency, suicide, commercial tobacco use, and other mental health issues. Our Ninijanisag staff know Indigenous culture, languages, and teachings. ADYC hosts regular after-school groups that you can join! If you are interested, please reach out to admin@adycenter.org!

I'm a parent, and I need financial assistance to give my kids a safe home.

Connect with ADYC's Oyate Nawajin Family Advocate.

ADYC's Oyate Nawajin (Stand with the People in Lakota) program was formed to help Indigenous families work through the everyday struggles that sometimes put kids at risk of homelessness. ADYC's family advocate works with families to identify areas of need and figure out comprehensive strategies for relieving those needs, including financial assistance, parenting support groups, and cultural education.

ADYC's Zhawenimaa Safe Harbor Case Managers can help.

You've come to the right place. ADYC is a Safe Harbor services provider through our Zhawenimaa (meaning "They Are Loved Unconditionally" in Ojibwe) program. Our Safe Harbor case managers meet or call you to discuss your options or just hear about your situation. These situations can be hard.
