Relevant Experience: Roy has worked in the American Indian Community for over 30 years. During this time Roy has worked with families and youth providing advocacy, individual and family counseling, and other supportive services using an American Indian perspective and focus. Roy has also served the American Indian community through involvement in task forces, boards, and committees with the task of improving services to the American Indian community. Roy is a fluent Ojibwe speaker and taught Ojibwe for one year in the Minneapolis Public Schools. He continues to encourage the learning of traditional Ojibwe ways and supports those in the community who are looking for those resources.
