Ninijanisag Program Youth Honoring June 21, 2011

The Ninijanisag (Our Children) Program was launched in 1993 to combat startlingly high rates of violence, chemical use/abuse, suicide, and other self-compromising behaviors among American Indian youth. Ninijanisag teaches youth ages 10-21 problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills in a community and cultural context.

The Ain Dah Yung Center hosted the Ninijanisag Program Youth Honoring at Black Bear Crossings in celebration of participating youth and their families. Thank you to Black Bear Crossings for a fabulous meal and the Ain Dah Yung Singers for beautiful songs.

We would like to thank the following participants for their active involvement in the Ninijanisag Program:

Xzarius, Ian, Marivel, Buddy, Afton, Gregory, Sativa, Trina, Colton, Rainey

We would like to congratulate the following High School Graduates and wish them the best on the ventures ahead of them:

Zach, Dakota, Mika, Ashton
